Stars Shine in Platinum

Hollywood is still in love with platinum. Some of the latest awards and hot celebrity events still find them showing off the platinum bling, such as this photo of Jennifer lopez at the US Weekly magazine's "Hot Hollywood 2007" event.

Check out those monster diamond and platinum hoops, honey! Along with these can't be missed earrings, Lopez opted for a cocktail ring as well. All pieces were from Lorraine Schwartz.

Next up is TV host Monica Noguera at the "Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards," who sparkled in precious platinum jewelry by Jeannette Fossas, including platinum and diamond "vice-versa" trio rings, a bracelet, and peridot earrings.

Curious Crislu Jewelry

Curious Crislu Jewelry

Bling is expensive, or at least the real bling such as diamonds and today's so favorite of metal, platinum. One jewelry company has made it their business to figure out a way to get the bling without the cost of ching-ching, Crislu. You've probably seen people wearing their jewelry without even realizing, including many celebrities:

Founded in 1961, CRISLU is a 2nd generation jewelry manufacturer renowned for bringing to market "personal ornaments" that are high-style, high-quality and high-value. In particular, the company is a world-class supplier of the finest cubic zirconia jewelry. Today, CRISLU has a worldwide network of showrooms and distributors in over 50 countries. You will find CRISLU in all of the world's fashion and trend capitols including Paris, New York, London, Tokyo, Milan, Madrid, Brussels, Stockholm, Berlin, Zurich, Monte Carlo and Buenos Aries, not to mention its hometown, Los Angeles.

Each CRISLU cubic zirconia is hand lapped and polished to perfection by a professional jeweler and then is hand set into platinum finished sterling silver by a master diamond setter. CRISLU Cubic Zirconia Stones are fully faceted and cut to the exact specifications required for fine diamonds. Every stone has the same color, clarity and cut that give it the fire and brilliance of the highest quality diamonds in the world. Even jewelers have difficulty distinguishing CRISLU cubic zirconias from real diamonds.

Recently, CRISLU jewelry created a buzz in the world of fashion, as Hollywood stars such as Paris and Nikki Hilton, Demi Moore, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Basinger, have been seen wearing CRISLU brand jewelry. In Touch magazine has called CRISLU, "a smart substitute for pricey precious stones." CRISLU jewelry has also been featured in Vogue , In-Style, US weekly , Life & Style and Lucky .

CRISLU is dedicated to building a major, upscale bridge jewelry brand and to offering the consumer unparalleled quality, styling and value.

Positive Icon Bracelets

Positive Icon Bracelets

Fashion Angels Enterprises has a fun line of bracelets for kids called Icon Bands. Each band, aka bracelet, has a different icon, such a flower, heart, hope, love, etc., in the center of the band, which is made from silicone. For an added twist, each band is supposed infused with ions:

Enjoy the benefits from this negative ion-infused jewelry. Negative ions = Positive vibes! Believe it or not… Negative ions are invisible, odorless molecules that are believed to increase energy, relieve stress, and enhance your mood. This jewelry is certified to contain negative ions, and most important, certifiably fashionable!

I'm not sure if I buy into all of that ion stuff, but these do look like fun bracelets for the young or young at heart at least.

Big Bebe Jewelry

Big Bebe Jewelry

Bebe is known for it's hip stores filled with fashionable accessories and clothing, very trendy with a sophisticated flair. While I knew that had stores, I didn't realize until recently that they also carry many of their products, including jewelry of course, on line, at, duh!

Now, I wouldn't say their style is for everyone. It's not something I would necessarily call "classic," and I tend to lean towards the classics for the most part, but sometimes it's fun to try the trends, and for the most part, the Bebe jewelry line seems to be big and bold.

Pictured are some wild multiple hoop earrings, a take on the classic hoops we all love.

Again, a Twist on the hoop, these next earrings also incorporate the nature theme we are seeing every where right now.

Finally, I saw loads of large bangles, like these polished and etched ones.

Back to Nature Jewelry Trend

Back to Nature Jewelry Trend

I already reported once about the leaf trend in jewelry that we are starting to see again. The whole back to nature trend in jewelry and really fashion and artwork in general is very cyclical, so it's not a big surprise that once the snow melts and real flowers bloom, so does our taste for nature-themed jewelry as well.

My lastest find in the back to nature jewelry theme comes from a Danish jewelry collection called Pilgrim.

Pictured is an adorable little piece of fruit – a pear – and notice the sterling leaf as well?

Then there's this cute flower pin with faceted gemstone as the center.

Then, of course, more leaves. This time wooden leaves are mixed in with metal leaves for this long necklace center dangle.

Pilates Jewelry

As an ex-ballet dancer now old lady just trying to fight the battle of the bulge, I have a number of exercise videos I do on a regular basis, among them are a few Pilates DVDs. Let me tell you! They are tough! But even still, Pilates is a very popular form of exercise these days because, well, it's tough and it is a great way to tone and stretch at the same time. Now you can have your Pilates and your jewelry too with a new line of Pilates inspired jewelry designed by Pilates Instructor Linda Moeller:

A certified Pilates Instructor with a passion for fitness and an artful eye for style, Linda Moeller is launching her 2007 Pilates accessories brand, Core Links by Completely Fit For Life ( This jewelry line expresses Ms. Moeller's love for beauty and function in twelve distinct pieces and eleven unique pose charms.

Based in Folsom, California, the Core Links jewelry line is designed with fitness and comfort in mind to ensure each piece can be worn during any workout. The debut line consists of bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and anklets; each designed by Ms. Moeller and delicately hand-crafted by artisans in 925 silver or 14k gold.

An expert instructor and practitioner, Ms. Moeller was inspired by favorite Pilates poses from her own practice of the exercise form when designing these wearable representations of Pilates moves. Additionally, by wearing the pieces herself during workouts and seeking feedback from her clients, Ms. Moeller achieves the most wearable forms and designs in her jewelry line.

"I'm constantly intrigued by the combination of beauty, grace and power in the practice of Pilates," said Ms. Moeller. "I want to elevate everyone's fitness experience in mind, body, and soul. Core Links is a perfect way for me to reflect my passion for fitness through artful design".

Ms. Moeller is founder and owner of Completely Fit for Life and has over 25 years of experience in the Fitness Industry. A graduate of California State University, Fresno; she is a noted speaker and workshop presenter, has numerous published articles credited to her name, and is mentor to up-and-coming next generation fitness instructors. Passion Works is an organization that works to support artists with and without disabilities. According to the groups web site, this is their mission and vision: "Passion Works will be a premier art studio that supports collaborations between artists with and without developmental disabilities.
