Italian Cameo Jewelry
Tagliamonte Vicenza continues the tradition of Tagliamonte founded in Torre del Greco (Naples) in 1943. This company has been dedicated to the production of Venetian Cameo jewelry since 1985, and these creations have become the firm's principal product. In fact, Tagliamonte can be considered the only firm in the world that manufactures this kind of stone. Its exclusivity is not limited to the production in itself, but includes the masterful use of a classical iconographic repertory.
Three Graces 18K Gold Turquoise Cameo Ring
An extraordinary display of technique and craftsmanship, Tagliamonte's 18K yellow gold ring showcases stunning, hand carved mother of pearl portraying the Three Graces in vibrant turquoise.
Tagliamonte is bringing back a manufacturing style as old as Mesopotamia. Vitreous pastes molded into cameos or intaglios are a part of jewelry history that in recent years has been largely ignored. The style can be traced back as far as the Mesopotamians, but was further developed by craftsmen from the ancient Roman colony of Aquileia.
Marina Collection Multicolor 18K Gold Bracelet
Part of the Marina line by Tagliamonte, this delicate and translucent 18K gold bracelet creates magic water light reflections and is an exclusive hand-made creation inspired by Venetian glass symbolic and naturalistic elements from the sea.
Nino Tagliamonte, with two Venetian artists, dedicated five years of research to this project, using authentic 18th century plaster matrix carvings. After numerous attempts, they rediscovered and successfully experimented with original Roman blending, processing, and casting methods.
Classic Collection 18K Gold and Ruby Necklace
An exclusive handmade creation featuring Hellenic mythological subjects molded on colored vitreous paste links. Presented on an 18K gold chain with precious rubies interspersed between beautifully sculpted gold flowers.
The company now has a collection of over three thousand, partly original and partly modern castings, and can produce Venice Cameos identical to the antique originals by following the Roman manual processing patterns and formulas. The cameos are available in a variety of colors, though each is handcrafted with incandescent glass, and the exact color is established only after being cooled.
